We are looking for a great FULL-TIME COOK and a Kitchen Assistant to join our team. If you have a passion for food, you are eager to learn, and you perform well as part of a team, then we want you in our kitchen! Canadians and Permanent Residents fluent in English are invited to apply.
Cook Duties Include: Ensure food preparation and presentation meet our high quality standards, work according to, and enforce occupational health and safety policies in the kitchen, prepare and cook complete meals, pastries, sauces, soups, salads, vegetables, meat, poultry and fish dishes, receive and verify product/grocery orders.
Employment Credentials: significant kitchen experience and and/or completion of post-secondary school, college, or vocational training is preferred, Red Seal endorsement, provincial cook's trade certification or equivalent credentials, and Alberta food safety certificate.
Candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced, professional kitchen: standing for long hours, tolerate a noisy work environment, work safely with high-heat and open flame, bend at the knees and waist, lift and carry heavy loads (up to 15 Kg), be available on holidays, evenings, and evening shifts, have a positive attitude, good health and stamina, possess a keen sense of taste and smell, have excellent hand-eye coordination, the ability to remain calm and collected in hectic situations.
Wages are negotiable -based on candidate experience.
Experienced cooks start at $16.00 - $18.00 per hour,
Kitchen Assistants start at $15.00 per hour.
Incentives include annual performance bonus, quarterly gratuities.
